The Council on Practice Advancement (COPA) is collecting applications for its subcommittees on an ongoing basis in order to fill upcoming openings as well as unplanned vacancies, and assist the committees in short-term projects.

This settings-based council is comprised of members who represent a variety of settings within our ten committees housed in the Council of Practice Advancement. These ten committees include: Armed Forces, Rehabilitation Clinic, Health Care Administration, Occupational, Performing Arts, Physician Practice, Private and Emerging Practice, Public Safety, Community Outreach and Analytics and Outcomes. The mission of COPA is to represent the professional practice settings of athletic training by increasing awareness, demonstrating value and assisting in efforts to expand and advance the profession.

Committee members must attend monthly meeting calls, attend the January Joint Committee Meeting in Dallas, TX, and participate in committee activities that include writing articles, preparing social media posts, highlighting current medicine research, etc. In addition to general expectations of all NATA committee members, all volunteers must be certified NATA members in good standing with an NPI number.

Analytics and Outcomes Committee: members are subject matter experts in gathering data and have a passion to advance the profession of athletic training.

Armed Forces Committee:
members are subject matter experts in the Armed Forces/Military field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Community Outreach Committee:
members are subject matter experts in the Community Outreach field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Health Care Administration Committee: members are subject matter experts in the Health Care Administration field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Occupational Committee:
members are subject matter experts in the Occupational/Industrial field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Performing Arts Committee: members are subject matter experts in the Performing Arts field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Physician Practice Committee:
members are subject matter experts in the Physician Practice field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Private and Emerging Practice Committee: members are subject matter experts in the Public Safety field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Public Safety Committee:
members are subject matter experts in the Public Safety field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.

Rehabilitation/Clinic Committee: members are subject matters expert in the Rehabilitation field, with at least five years of experience in this setting.
